Charities
Although this is not the Club's primary function, service to the community often involves raising funds to support particular projects.
Our Club is proud of its achievements, having raised almost £250,000 since we were formed.
One of the fundraising highlights is always the Annual Sportsman’s Night, which is held in March every year. This event features dinner, followed by two speakers - one a well-known sporting figure, the other a comedian. It is always sold out and raises several thousand pounds each year.
Another popular annual event is the Town Mayor's Charity Golf Day, which we organise, in partnership with the Mayor each August.
Other fundraising events include a biennial May Ball and Summertime Riverside Concert.
